Musee des Augustins

Just to tick off another box and prove we are anomals of culture we went to Toulouse's finest arts museum, spanning pieces from the Roman era to the early 20th century.

It's a former Augustinian monastery and it has two 14th century cloister gardens. One can imagine the monks turning the soil and planting all they needed to survive in the spaces between prayers. Very peaceful and extremely pretty with a vast variety of flowers and herbs.

One wonder what methods the monks used to rid their garden of the dreaded blackbirds!

I also had to make sure John didn't step on or kick any of the school children sprawled all over the floor!
