Sghtseeing in Bordeaux

A walk in the sun along the Promenade. It's a Sunday and every man and his dog is out, but walk at your own peril..... People meandering, bicycles whizzing by, skaters flashing by (very fast), skateborders, children (cause not really people) running along, but not looking where they're going, little dogs, not on leads, looking for attention. It's a feast for the eyes in more ways than one.

We saw this little fellow swimming along having a wonderful time. He swam for a very long time and then got out to sun himself and have a bath.

It's a funny thing here, as in England, there are dogs everywhere. Some walk, some get carried, some ride in bicycles, but they are very much loved.
I suppose because so many of the town folk live in apartments the city parks and gardens are their  back yards and they make the most of them. A large cruise liner came in while we were walking which caused a good deal of interest. Bordeaux is a popular destination for a night stopover.
